(Corona) was the Chief Justice

of the Philippines for eight years

after his appointment on May

12, 2010 until being indicted

through an impeachment by

the House of Representatives

pursuant to Section 2, Article VI

of the 1987 Constitution. The

grounds of his impeachment

were betrayal of public trust,

culpable violation of the

Constitution, and graft and

corruption.
